The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District has asked us to share the following survey on e-cigarette use to our residents.

Please consider taking this short survey from the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District about your experiences/opinions regarding e-cigarette use in public places. The results may potentially be published and presented to the Village of Gifford board at a later time. This may affect policy in Gifford regarding e-cigarettes so your input is valued.

2018 Village Board Meetings

The last Village Board Meeting took place on March 1, 2018 and the next Village Board Meeting will be held at the Gifford Village Building on April 5, 2018 at 7 PM. You can view the schedule of 2018 meetings on our Public Meetings page. The public meetings page also contains information on past board meetings.

Champaign County Electronic Recycling

Champaign County will be holding a residential electronics collection event on Saturday October 14, 2017. The event will take place from 8am-12pm at Parkland College, 2400 West Bradley Avenue in Champaign, Illinois. Residents MUST register online in advance: ecycle.simplybook.me. You can also view the event flyer with additional details on what items are accepted.

Champaign County also provides an electronic recycling guide for use throughout the year. Visit their Reduce Reuse Recycle page for links to the guide and recycling event announcements.

Reminder: Dump Day

Saturday June 17th the Village will be hosting a dump day. Please take this opportunity to clean up and keep Gifford looking great! Dump day will take place, rain or shine.

Dump day will take place by the Village storage garage from 8am until Noon and will cost $10 per dump. We will also have a dumpster for metal recyclables.

Items that are NOT permitted: computers, TVs, yard waste, tires, and construction debris.
