Champaign County Collection Events

Two local collection events of potential interest to Gifford residents this spring are:

  • IEPA-Sponsored One-Day Household Hazardous Waste Collection event on Saturday April 4, 2020 (free to all residents)
  • Residential Electronics Collection (REC) on Saturday May 16, 2020 (free to Gifford residents, as the village made the necessary contribution to support REC events)

Gifford Little League Registration

Registration for the upcoming Gifford Little League season (baseball and softball) will be Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 10am-Noon at the Gifford Grade School in the gym lobby.

Residential Electronic Collection

Registration begins April 8, 2019

Register online to bring TVs and Electronics Items to the May 18 Residential Electronics Collection

  • Two Residential Electronics Collection (REC) events will take place at Parkland College this year, on May 18, 2019 and October 12, 2019.
  • Gifford residents are eligible to participate.
  • Residents must advance register online at http://ecycle.simplybook.me. At this website, residents will select an available 15-minute timeslot during which they plan to arrive at the REC event.

Halloween Trick-or-Treat Hours

The hours for trick-or-treating in Gifford are 6-8 p.m. on 10/31.
